School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science – Curtin University


Date of event: Tuesday 22nd and Friday 26th May, 2018


Location:  Edinburgh Oval, Curtin University, Bentley, WA


Details of event: Clients will receive a health screening for exercise (including Blood pressure check, and assessments of other potential risk factors for exercise prescription). They will then undergo assessment of their Cardio respiratory fitness, and participants are eligible to enter our prize draw (gym memberships and vouchers up for grabs)

Participants should note that the sessions will be conducted by Curtin Exercise Science students, under the full supervision of qualified staff members. 

Definition Health Club

Date: May 21st – 27th 2018

Details of event: We will be giving each senior that comes in to enquire a 5 day pass which will grant them access to our four senior classes. This will also be an opportunity for Definition staff to discuss the benefits of exercise physiology with the person on the 5 day pass.

Whilst this is primarily targeting our senior demographic, we will also have 5 day passes available for those who are interested in the gym and the exercise physiology services that we offer.

Here at Bloomhill we have LOTS of fun planned.

We are revved and ready to go, with the 2018 theme for Exercise Right Week : “Motivation to Move”

Come and join us for any or all activities.

To stay healthy the recommended time spent on exercise per week should be 150-300 minutes, so to represent that, we are aiming to ride the equivalent in distance.

We have a goal to ride 300 kilometres (at least!) so make sure you jump on the exercise bike on the cafe deck and ride for Bloomhill! Let’s get those kilometres up!

  • Yes you can exercise safely during cancer treatment with the right prescription. If you want to know more about our programs, drop in to meet Sarah Bell our Accredited Exercise Physiologist who will be available to answer any questions on Saturday 26th May between 11am-12pm.
