The 10,000 Steps program aims to increase the day-to-day activity of Australians by encouraging the use of pedometers or activity trackers. The free program allows individuals to set goals, track progress over time, join monthly Challenges and get involved in team Tournaments to stay motivated to increase both incidental and planned physical activity. The program is delivered via an interactive, online website and mobile application and provides support and resources to individuals, workplaces and communities. 10,000 Steps is funded by Health and Wellbeing Queensland and delivered by CQUniversity Australia.
PlaySport is an innovative online platform for all things sport. Think of it as the world’s largest all-inclusive sports centre – every sport, every level, and every ability – PlaySport connects people to it all. With over 50,000 sport organisations and over 300 different sports on our platform, we encourage everyday Australians to get active by making it easy to discover, organise, book, play and follow any sport or activity anywhere in Australia at any time.
One in five Australians will experience mental ill health this year and only 46% of people seek help. It’s a complex challenge – for ourselves, our loved ones and, most of all, for the nine Australians who die by suicide everyday. The Push For Better Foundation aims to engage and educate people in mental and physical health, and raise awareness of the mental health issues affecting everyday Australians.
