About the campaign

Exercise Right Week is our annual campaign aimed at encouraging all Australians to be more active and to know where to get the *right* advice when it comes to moving more.

This year’s theme is Exercise for the Right Reasons. Why?

Because a lot of the dialog in the health and fitness industry turns exercise into a chore or punishment. It pushes exercise as merely a weight loss tool or a way to create an “ideal” body. This can create a negative relationship between our minds and movement. We want to change that.

This Exercise Right Week, we want to highlight some of the incredible physical, mental, and social health benefits of exercise (that have NOTHING to do with the number on the scale!).

Learn more and meet new people

There’ll be a range of events (both in person and online) that you can join for free. These include education sessions, fun runs and walks, and open days, all run by accredited exercise professions.
